How to restore the factory settings of Moxa switches?
This article mainly introduces how to restore the Moxa switch to factory settings.
I. Restore factory settings in a web browser
1. Enter the switch IP address in the browser to enter the configuration page
2. Find the Factory Default option in the left menu bar and click Activate
(Note: Factory Default may be in different locations for different switch models. When the switch model is inconsistent with the demonstration model, you can expand all the options on the left to search)
II. Use the Console port to log into the switch and configure

1. Connect the console port of the switch to the serial port of the computer, and use the PComm software to log in to the switch configuration page. For specific steps, refer to "How to log in to the switch configuration page"
2. Select Basic Settings and press Enter
3. Use the right arrow key to select Factory Default and press Enter.
4. Type "Y" and press Enter
5. Wait for the switch to reset and restart successfully
III. Press and hold the Reset button to restore factory settings
Some models of Moxa switches have a reset hole on the device. Poke a needle-shaped object into the reset hole and press it for more than 5 seconds to restore the factory settings. (Taking the EDS-510E series as an example, the position numbered 1 in the figure below is the reset button)
